Our tailored, innovative Blended Learning solutions add genuine extra value to your staff development measures.

We design learner-oriented training courses in which facilitators individually accompany your employees from the preparation phase right through to successful transfer. This increases learner motivation and helps them to reach their learning objectives much faster and more sustainable. Using our Learning Management System (or your company’s) enables participants to access training material anytime and from anywhere, and to receive peer learning advice and trainer feedback so they can constantly develop themselves further.

To ensure sustainable training success our intercultural training focuses on the learners and their specific objectives.

Participants immediately apply the knowledge they have acquired during training in interactive exercises and develop their own action and communication strategies. We use the following instruments and methods for presence training or within the framework of a Blended Learning solution in accordance with the main focus and the objectives of the training.

 During the training

Presence training or live components in Blended Learning

  • Input as needed (information on the culture, geography, history, politics and society)

  • Inclusion of one’s own experience with the destination country and the relation to one’s

    and the destination culture(s)

  • Interactive exercises, role-playing and simulations for the development of action options and
    behavioural strategies

  • Utilisation of Personal Action Plans at the end of the training for the targeted further development

* With foreign assignment training, supervision is conducted for the first six months (culture shock phase) following relocation.

avramitisca is designed as a self assessment tool that supports employees and their supervisors in making decisions regarding deployment for foreign assignments and assists in the selection process of choosing suitable expat candidates.

avramitisca is also an ideal individual needs assessment tool for intercultural training and the documentation and assessment of developmental progress in acquiring intercultural skills.


Intercultural skills

Employees and their organisations need to develop intercultural communication competence and action skills in order to maintain long-term success on the global market.

The conscious awareness of one’s own cultural baseline, the reflection on one's native culture and the host culture as well as the willingness to adapt to a new cultural environment are prerequisites for (inter)cultural learning.


Independence from native and target cultures

The avramiTISCA operates across the behavioural, affective and cognitive levels independent from native and target cultures. That means that the test can be used across all cultures. Our assessment tool is the first step in preparing employees and managers for foreign assignments and for leading and working in and with intercultural teams.


avramitisca examines the following dimensions

  • Cognition: curiosity, interest, open-mindedness, ability to suspend judgement

  • Behavior: individualistic behavior, collectivistic behavior, flexibility, respect, empathy, patience

  • Affect: ambiguitytolerance, motivation, self-assuredness, communication apprehension

Assignment clarification/Consultation
In order to be able to offer you a training solution tailored to your needs, we meet with you for an initial discussion to jointly define the precise objectives of the intercultural training. We take time for this consultation because experience has shown us just how different the requirements and expectations of the participants and supervisors can be. This discussion already thoroughly covers the topics of needs assessment (e.g. by using avrami-TISCA), the training format (Blended Learning or presence training) and transfer following the training.


Choice of trainer/Expert
Once the assignment has been clarified we select the expert corresponding to your needs. The criteria for our trainer selection consist of the trainer’s professional experience, international training experience, extensive methodological expertise and intercultural skills. For management personnel training courses we also require that trainers have their own international management experience.


Concept preparation
We work with our experts to develop a concept for the content and the methodological arrangement of your advanced training measure and appropriate transfer possibilities. Close coordination with you is highly beneficial during this phase, particularly with Blended Learning concepts.


Needs assessment
Prior to preparing the final concept for your intercultural training we always conduct a precise needs assessment at the participants level. This assessment can be carried out by various methods (interview, questionnaires, avrami TISCA, etc.).


Refined concept
We adapt the concept on the basis of this analysis and the objectives defined together with you, select the appropriate methods, create the agenda and prepare the training material.


Organisation
Our service includes clarification of the organisational framework conditions (training location, duration, number of participants, etc.) and the printing of the training materials. If you like we can also support your training administration with additional services.


Execution
The training is carried out either as presence training or in the Blended Learning format, depending on the concept. Training sessions are conducted over the agreed period of time on the dates you choose.


Transfer
The sustainability of our training is very important to us, so we integrate the transfer factor into the entire course of the training.
During the training we reference the individual intercultural challenges of the participants, specifically encourage self-reflection and conduct exercises directly implementing what has been learned in practical situations.
We have experience with numerous options for the transfer of the newly acquired skills and knowledge after the training. These options take all of the framework conditions into account.


Performance assessment and further development
Our exchanges with you, the participants and the selected experts as well as written feedback from the participants give us a clear picture of how successful the training measure has been. You also receive important impulses for possible follow-up measures along with tips related to content or organisation for the further development of your training solutions.
